Job description
Wagenborg Crew Management is seeking for a Chief Officer to join our Shipping Fleet. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our general cargo vessels. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of cargo while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key responsibilities
Lead and supervise the deck team to ensure smooth operations
Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations
Coordinate cargo loading and unloading activities
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Collaborate with other departments to optimize vessel performance

Job requirements
Valid applicable Certificate of Competence (STCW II/2)
Valid STCW Training Certificates
Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a multicultural crew
Experience with general cargo trade
Experience with mixed Nationality crew
Demonstrated knowledge of cargo handling operations and safety procedures
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging maritime environments
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and operational requirements
